OTRS History

OTRS Group has its roots in the Open Source Community and strong ties to enterprise-class service delivery and global operations.

The OTRS project was founded in 2001.

Seeing a growing demand for OTRS services André Mindermann and Burchard Steinbild founded OTRS GmbH in 2003.

In October 2007, OTRS GmbH became OTRS AG. OTRS AG provides enterprise support, design, implementation, integration, customization, training, and OTRS managed services.

Today the OTRS Group has over 70 employees and offices in the United States, Mexico, Germany, The Netherlands, Hong Kong and Malaysia.
