What's New

  • Updated French translation, thanks to Remi Seguy!

  • Windows Installer: Disabled spell checker by default. Because the Windows Installer does not ship with any dictionary libraries, the OTRS spell checker is now disabled. If you'd want to use the spell checker, you can install the dictionaries and activate it manually.

Important for Upgrading

  • For those folks who are using OTRS 2.3 and want to upgrade to 2.4, please read the UPGRADING and INSTALL files.
  • When upgrading from OTRS 2.4.x to 2.4.5, you may get an error message in the ticket create or add note screen: "Navigation bar FullSpell is not existing", just empty your browser cache (e. g. restart your browser).

Bug Fixes

  • Bug# 4233 - Attaching a file in AgentTicketCompose screen will reset the state field.
  • Bug# 4257 - Event based notification not triggered upon Queue Update event.
  • Bug# 4232 - Spell checker not working in customer interface.
  • Bug# 4255 - RichText is not coupled with RichTextViewing. Rich text is displayed, even if the text/plain MIME part is available. RichText functionality is now coupled As soon as RichText is turned off, viewing will be in text/plain. If you want to have the old behavior, you can use an config option "Ticket::Frontend::ZoomRichTextForce" to enable RichTextViewing even RichText is disabled.
  • Bug# 4292 - Email tag:"" in body breaks body text during a ticket split. Text will be lost in new ticket.
  • Bug# 4189 - Rich text editor inserts a blank line in every text editor field per default - not wanted.
  • Bug# 4188 - Moving junk mails unnecessarily need subject and body in note.
  • Bug# 2087 - AgentTicketMove screen does not consider responsible feature for permission check on move.
  • Bug# 4226 - "Previous owner" always empty when a new owner must be defined (Note, Close, Pending, Owner and Responsible screen).
  • Bug# 4355 - SLA dropdown does not populate in AgentTicketEmail screen.
  • Bug# 4348 - Upcoming Events in the Dashboard is not cached on a per-user basis (displayed events may be not related to logged in user).
  • Bug# 4248 - Follow-up email contains the ticket number two times in special cases.
  • Bug# 3793 - UTF-8 PostgreSQL database encode issues on incoming emails (problems to handle broken charset emails).
