What's New

  • Updated Portugese translation, thanks to Rui Francisco!
  • Updated Catalan translation, thanks to Antionio Linde!
  • Added caches to many internal modules to improve performance (please see ChangeLog for details). This leads to a strong reduction of database calls, resulting in better performance especially in high-load environments.
  • Improved performance by using SlaveDB in Dashboard if it is configured.
  • Improved performance by using Digest::SHA if it is available.

Important for Upgrading

  • Upgrading from OTRS 3.1.x: Make sure you run bin/otrs.RebuildConfig.pl after the upgrade so that the configuration is refreshed. Otherwise the system may not work. Please note that for upgrades from 3.1.0.beta1 or 3.1.0.beta2, an additional database upgrade step is required (see UPGRADING)!
  • Upgrading from OTRS 3.0.x: Please read the UPGRADING and INSTALL files for detailed instructions.

Bug Fixes

  • Bug#8343 - Configuration of additional modules can be lost during upgrade.
  • Renamed form id in AgentLinkObject.dtl to make sure it doesn't interfere with wrong CSS.
  • Bug#8333 - Type option '-' should not be available in ActionTicketCommon screens.
  • Bug#8331 - Unable to delete ticket with > 1000 articles on Oracle database.
  • Bug#8335 - Cache keys are not always properly constructed.
  • Dynamic fields and associated values can now be deleted in the admin area.
  • Do not show the empty item in dynamic field search fields.
  • Fixed an issue where DBUpdate-to-3.1.pl would die because of certain free text or free time configuration settings.
  • Bug#8334 migration fails if FreeTime fields are not in use.
  • Bug#8320 - IMAP FLAGS (\Seen \Recent) are appended to article body by upgrading bundled Net::IMAP::Simple to version 1.2030.
  • Bug#8286 - Adressbook forgets selected entries.
  • Bug#8297 - Selectbox for new owner causes ajax update on every change made via keyboard.
  • Bug#7545 - AgentTicketBounce lacks permission checks.

Supported Encodings

  • OTRS 3.1 supports only UTF-8 as internal character set. Non-UTF-8 installations of OTRS must switch to UTF-8.
