OTRS Administrator Training

OTRS offers training for both Windows and Linux/Unix administrators.  These 3 day sessions give administrators in-depth knowledge on the skills needed to install, configure, customize, and maintain an enterprise class OTRS solution.  

Training content:

  • Install, backup and restore OTRS
  • System configuration
  • User and authorization management
  • Designing queue structures and authorization concepts
  • Administrating frontend modules 
  • Packaging changes

Recommended prerequisites:

  • Good understanding of web-based software architectures
  • Proficiency in Windows or Linux/Unix
  • Familiar with standard web protocols ie: SMTP, POP3, HTTP, FTP
  • Good knowledge of HTML, SQL
  • Practical experience with directory services like MS Active Directory, OpenLDAP, Novell eDirectory, etc.
  • Experience using editors ie: UltraEdit, VI, VIM
  • Ability to configure web and mail servers
